The gap between what was there and what you could actually learn about it felt absurd.
What to see around you? What's just around the corner? What is the story and context that makes you not just visit a place, but actually understand it? These questions had no good answer. And that felt like a problem worth solving.
Here's the thing most travel technology gets wrong. It obsesses over the booking — the search, the comparison, the checkout. But the actual experience of being somewhere, the in-destination moment, has been largely ignored by technology. A trillion-dollar moment, unserved.

iWander was founded in 2024 in London to build the AI that understands all of this — context, curiosity, language, culture, location, and moment — and delivers the experience that makes someone stop, look up from their phone, and actually see the place they're in.
