Any neighbourhood, theme, or vibe. "Pizza crawl", "Underground Naples", "Maradona walk". iWander writes you the walk in 30 seconds.

02
Greeks, Romans, Spanish viceroys, Bourbons, Garibaldi, the Camorra, Maradona - Naples stories whispered as you walk Spaccanapoli.

03
What's a sfogliatella? Whose statue is that? Why does that mural exist? Point your camera, ask out loud, or type. Your guide answers in seconds.

Local knowledge
The stuff you only learn after you've walked it.
01
Loud, chaotic, beautiful. Don't expect order. Stay in the centre and walk. Take a deep breath before crossing a street. Locals will tell you which streets to avoid at night - listen.
02
If a pizzeria is charging €15 in centro storico, walk past it. Real Naples pizza is cheap, fast, and protected by AVPN certification. Order the margherita first; judge everything else from there.
03
Espresso at the counter, drunk in two seconds. €1. Always 'un caffè' - never 'an espresso'. Caffè sospeso (suspended coffee, pre-paid for a stranger) is a Neapolitan invention.
04
Phone in front pocket. Bag across the body. Don't flash cash. Don't get pulled into 'gold ring' scams. Otherwise you're fine - it's not as dangerous as the reputation suggests.
05
Spring is mild, the city blooms, fewer crowds. October is grape harvest. July-August is hot and packed and Italians leave for the islands. November is rainy.
06
Service is often included (coperto = cover charge). 5-10% if you really enjoyed it. Cash on the table - not card.
